The academic year is divided into two semesters. The autumn semester lasts from August 15 until December 20, and the spring semester from January 5 until June 20 (approximate dates). The full-time workload for one academic year is 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System credits).
A 3 years bachelor degree consists of 180 ECTS credits. The Master's programs build upon a Bachelor's degree or equivalent studies. They have an allocation of 120 ECTS credits and require 2 years of full-time study. The first year has a number of compulsory courses, while the second year is dedicated to research work and the writing of a major thesis.
