Temporary stop in inter-library loans

20 years with Quota students at NLA
In 1995 the first Quota students started her studies at NLA, since then, additional 72 Quota students, receiving financial support from the Norwegian government to undertake studies in Norway, have started their master studies at NLA.

Master in Intercultural Studies
We are happy to announce that from August 2015 we will offer a master program in Intercultural Studies taught entirely in English. The program aims to enhance the professional intercultural competence of students preparing for careers with significant international and/or intercultural contact and content.

Building MA in Journalism in Uganda
With 12,8 mill NOK in funding from NORAD NLA University College and Uganda Christian University is going to build a MA in Journalism at UCU. The aim is strengthening of journalists and media as an important element in Ungada's democratization process.

I am Kristine Bech-Sørensen and I had the pleasure to welcome most of the quota students who arrived in Bergen airport (Flesland) since August 2007. But I have also other international students from time to time. Throughout my professional carrier at NLA, it has been one of my most precious work tasks to follow international students.

Lin Grace Danhua (1969-2013)
It is with grief that we announce that Lin Danhua, or Grace as most people called her, passed away in August. Grace was studying Master of Philosophy in Religious Education at NLA University College from 2006.

The international office
NLA's international activities are gradually increasing. The International Office was established in 2010 and is responsible for outgoing and incoming students and for international collaboration agreements. NLA introduces academic gown
There is no tradition for wearing academic gowns at graduations in Norway. However, based on wishes from former and current international students NLA is planning to produce an academic gown.

Theofilos - NLA's peer reviewed journal
NLA now publishes its own peer reviewed journal, called THEOFILOS. Theofilos is a Nordic journal designated to the study of theology, philosophy, culture and related subject areas and is issued twice a year.

Publish your thesis online
All NLA’s master students who completed with grade C or better can publish their thesis online in what is called NLA Brage. NLA Brage is an open access archive.
