We are delighted to welcome new students to NLA University College - Campus Kristiansand.

Semester start programme for Master in Global Journalism

Please be on time for all events.

Tuesday 12 August - the programme is not compulsory but highly recommended

11.00: Walking tour in the city with senior students at NLA | Meet in front of the main Cathedral in the city center
12.00: Visit the Kristiansand Zoo (free entrance by showing your admission letter)

Wednesday 13 August - compulsory attendance, NLA Campus Kristiansand (Bergtoras vei 120)

9.00: Welcome, registration and information about the study programme | Class room A
11.00: Take a photo and get a student card
12.00: Lunch
13.00: Trip to Arendalsuka, the largest political gathering held annually in Norway

Thursday 14 August - compulsory attendance, NLA Campus Kristiansand

9.00: Practical information for international students | Class room A
10.00: Lecture about Norwegian politics and society | Class room A
12.00: Lunch
13.00: Information from "Velferdstinget" (a student organization) | Auditorium
13.15: Lecture with journalist Yama Wolasmal, directly from Beirut - "Because someone needs you" | Auditorium
14.00: Reflections after the lecture, together with BA students in journalism | Redaksjonen

Wednesday 20 August at 19.00 | Oddernes Church

Semester Start Church Service (voluntary attendance) 

This is a joint event for all students in Kristiansand (UiA, Noroff, Ansgar, and NLA). Music will be provided by students from Ansgar. Sermon by Awin Khalili Holm. Parts of the service will be in English. Church coffee will be served after the service.

Pre-Church with KRIK before the service.
Grilling and activities (more information will follow).
