For students, the student card functions as a library card.
The borrower must ensure that the borrower information is correct. These can be changed via "my account" in Oria (link to further information).
Loan periods
Ordinary loan period for books: 4 weeks
Curriculum literature: 2 weeks
Journals: 2 weeks
Day loans: not for home loans
Other loan rules
Borrowers are responsible for all documents borrowed in their name. It is not permitted to lend material to others without going through the library.
Loans can be renewed, but books with a waiting list must be returned by the due date.
It is not allowed to take the books abroad.
After three reminders, a claim for compensation will be sent out.
Lost and damaged books must be replaced. The compensation amount per book is currently a minimum of NOK 500.
If the claim for compensation is not paid, the library can proceed with legal debt collection, which will be charged to the borrower. Borrowing rights will be withdrawn in the event of a claim for compensation.
You can reserve books that are on loan by logging into Oria. However, books that are available on the shelf cannot be reserved or ordered; you must pick them up yourself.
