When can you travel?

Kindergarten Teacher (Full-time)

During the full-time kindergarten teacher education program, you can go on exchange during your 5th semester.

The exchange semester will replace the specialization subject. If the place of study abroad cannot offer practical training, 5 days of practical training must be taken in Norway before/after the exchange semester.

We reserve the right to make changes to the course offerings at the host institution. You always need an individual prior approval of subjects before you go on exchange.

Kindergarten Teacher (Part-time)

During the full-time kindergarten teacher education programme, you can go on exchange during your 7th semester.

The exchange semester will replace the specialisation subject. If the place of study abroad cannot offer practical training, 5 days of practical training must be taken in Norway before/after the exchange semester.

We reserve the right to make changes to the study programme at the host institution. You always need an individual advance approval of subjects before you go on exchange.

Overlapping semesters

At several study locations in Europe, the autumn semester lasts until January, which overlaps with the start of the semester at NLA. Students may be on exchange until January. Contact your study program leader to inquire about your possibilities.
