Semester Programme in Education
NLA offers a semester programme in Education at campus Sandviken in Bergen, Western Norway. The program is offered in the autumn semester which starts mid August and lends mid December.

About the semester programme
The semester programme consists of two bachelor-level courses.
The courses consist of weekly seminars of 3 hours each, where students are challenged to discuss and reflect on educational challenges and opportunities related to global crises, social injustice, forced displacement, trauma-affected children, and vulnerability.
The course seminars are research-based, practice-oriented, and student-centered. Students are exposed to a range of global educational research, including research projects led by the course lecturers. Through case-studies and group-work, students are also able to discern how theoretical research can be applied in the real world, including classrooms and other pedagogical settings in Scandinavia and beyond.
Students enrolled in the semester programme will study alongside NLA’s full-degree students. The language of instruction is English.

– I have been really enjoying the experience and seeing for myself how everything works here.
