Networking and software

NLA University College has two available wireless networks:

• Eduroam - for students and employees
• NLA_guest - for guests

For a secure connection, it is recommended to use the installation program, which automatically sets up the correct certificate and settings.

• Mobile and tablet:
  Download the GetEduroam app from the App Store or Google Play. Select "NLA University College", log in with Feide, and follow the steps on the screen.
   
• PC and Mac:
  Download and run the Eduroam installation program (CAT). Select NLA University College, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Login to Eduroam with your Feide user:

Username: studentnumber@nla.no
Password: personal password set by you

EduVPN is NLA University College's VPN solution for secure access to the school's digital services when you are outside Norway or campus.

Some services (for example, Office365) require you to use VPN when you are abroad.

EduVPN ensures a stable and encrypted connection, so you can access necessary resources as if you were on the school's network.

How to do it:

1. Download the eduVPN application for your device from nla.eduvpn.no/.

2. Open the application and select NLA University College in the list.

3. Log in with ID-porten, approve the connection. Check that the eduVPN application shows "Connected".

As a student at NLA University College, you have free access to Microsoft Office 365, with all the most important programs and cloud storage in OneDrive.

You can install the Office programs on up to five devices (PC, Mac, tablet and mobile), or use them directly in your browser.
Note that Outlook (email and calendar) is NOT included for students.

How to log in:

1. Go to office.com

2. Log in with your Feide user:
   
   Username: studentnumber@nla.no

   Password: Your personal password

Note: If you are outside Norway, some services such as Office 365 may require the use of VPN. See the field above regarding EduVPN.

OneDrive (storage):
You get 1 TB of cloud storage in OneDrive. Here you can store documents safely and share files with others.
Remember that you are responsible for the content you store, and that sensitive data or research material must be handled in accordance with the guidelines for privacy and security.

When you finish your studies:
Access to Office 365 and OneDrive will be automatically removed 60 days after graduation.
Therefore, download and back up important files before you quit.

As a student at NLA University College, you have access to several useful programs. These can be used in connection with studies and research work.

Installation files are available via SharePoint.
Log in with your Feide account (studentnummer@nla.no) for access.

Nettskjema
Service for creating surveys and collecting data.
Log in via Nettskjema.no with Feide.

SPSS
Program for statistical analysis and data management.
Access is granted to students and employees working on relevant research projects.
