FAAP Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation
FAAP is a university located in the vibrant city of São Paulo, offering students access to one of the largest and most dynamic urban centers in Latin America. São Paulo is a city that never ceases to amaze. Often referred to as the "concrete jungle" of Latin America, it is a sprawling metropolis full of cultural diversity and vibrant energy. FAAP has approximately 12,000 students. There are various student organizations, sports teams, and cultural groups.

Studies
- Number of places: 4
- Subjects: FAAP offers subjects within, among other things, Latin America Regional Studies such as Art and Culture in Latin America or Environment and Social Change in Latin America. See list of subjects here.
- It is also possible to take a Portuguese language course for an additional fee
- Semester: The autumn semester lasts from the beginning of August to the end of December. The spring semester lasts from the beginning of February to the end of June.
- Credits: 30 ECTS = 30 Norwegian credits

Economy
You do not pay tuition fees to either NLA or FAAP.
When you go on exchange to Brazil, you will receive NOK 4401 per month from Lånekassen for the academic year 2025-26, in addition to basic loans and travel support. You can receive this scholarship for up to ten months.
Estimated costs per month: 100-150USD for food, 100USD for social activities and 450-650USD for housing.

Insurance
You must always ensure that you have valid student insurance during studies abroad.
Visa
Norwegian citizens need a visa to travel to Brazil.
