Trondheim as a student city
Trondheim is an attractive student city that attracts students from all over the world. The city is located in the heart of Norway and is known for its historical charm, beautiful nature, and strong academic environment. The city offers a rich cultural life with museums, theaters, concerts and art galleries. Trondheim also has a vibrant student culture with many student associations and organizations that arrange everything from sports activities to cultural events. The city is surrounded by beautiful natural areas, including fjords, lakes and mountains. This gives you as a student the opportunity for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and skiing, and provides a great contrast to the urban environment.

Norway in general, and Trondheim in particular, offers good support schemes for students, including affordable health services and favorable student housing.

Trondheim has a well-developed public transport system, and it is easy to get around the city. It also has an international airport that provides easy access to the rest of Norway and Europe.

Education from NLA
At NLA's study center, you can take a bachelor's degree in theology or a one-year program in practical theology and leadership. The bachelor's degree provides qualifications for positions such as faith education leader and other church positions, and this will be the only Christian studies education at the university and college level in Trondheim. You can read more about the bachelor's degree in theology here. Gå Ut Senteret (GUS) already has a collaboration with NLA, which means that the Bible school's students can take individual subjects at NLA, for example intercultural studies and communication and worldview.

What does it mean to study theology?
The bachelor's degree in theology is the study for those who want a future as a leader and communicator in churches, congregations or organizations. You will gain insight into both management subjects and theology, and practice in reflecting together with lecturers, mentors and fellow students, combined with practice and guidance.

- Education is not just a question of knowledge and skills, but something that encompasses the whole person. William Skolt Grosås, college lecturer at NLA Høgskolen.
