Conference presentation: Negotiating meaning -Report from a Cameroonian village
The language of instruction in school is French, unknown to the children of a small Cameroonian village. But in addition to the general language mismatch, there are different patterns of language use, found by using a community of practice perspective in looking at learning processes in the village setting and at school.
