Correlations with Meeting Physical Activity Guidelines in Preschool

Correlations in physical activity guidelines are of interest in two ways: variables that lead children to meet guidelines and variables that correlate when children meet guidelines. Regarding those variables that lead children to meet guidelines, they are gender, parental education, lifestyle, knowledge and attitudes. The reasons for their differences in terms of the effect of meeting the guidelines and the correlations of meeting the same guidelines with different positive outcomes are not fully understood. Are the differences a result of inherent preferences, societal influences or a combination of both? On the other hand, it is very important to consider these factors ensure meeting the guidelines in order to apply some strategies and ensure those positive correlations, that arise when children meet physical activity recommendations. Thus, the aim of this chapter is to highlight what variables should be considered to lead children to meet guidelines and what are the positive correlations that arise when these guidelines are met.
