Exploring protein interaction in Atlantic salmon using the yeast two-hybrid system; Estrogen receptor is totally dependant on ligand binding for dimerization
Introduction
The estrogen receptor beta (ERbeta) in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) has recently been cloned and sequenced in our laboratory. Protein interacting ability of ERbeta and estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) have been studied using the yeast two-hybrid system. The same procedure are in progress for detection of possible interactions of Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) (Dioxine reseptor) and Aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) in Atlantic salmon.
