Jesus > Religion. The rhetorical function and theological motivations of contemporary Christian rejection of religion.

This article analyses and discusses different Christian ways of rhetorically rejecting religion as a self-label, with emphasis on a Youtube-hit by Jefferson Bethke. The discussion suggests that the rejection of religion in very different Christian circles today can be interpreted as a quest for authenticity (Charles Taylor).
