Training web journalists in a developing democracy context
Over the last two years I have worked closely with Addis Ababa University on the erection of the new Graduate School in Journalism and Communication in Addis Ababa, capital city of Ethiopia. My duty in the project has been to serve as the academic coordinator, which has involved designing the programme and giving the academic direction in the practical and theoretical courses. I have also taught some courses in the programme, including web journalism in the Print Journalism emphasis. This presentation will reflect on some of the experiences made during the first two batches.
