Introduction: What Shall We Do with the Next-Gen Children? Introduction, or Afterword Before the Text
In this chapter, we introduce the readers to the questions raised in our invitation for contributions to this collection, and we summarize briefly how particular chapters have addressed the agenda proposed in that invitation. After this short summary, in the section “Mapping the Ground: What do we say?”, we present the main categories that have been discussed throughout the book. We focus on those of the world, the child, of politics, ethics, and on how teachers, pedagogies and curricula are represented here. This provional map may be found useful as one of the ways to navigate through the complex issues addressed in this book.
